Kristian Dominguez '09

Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame

Kristian was born and raised in Hollywood where he attended Nativity Catholic School from Pre-K 4 through 8th grade, excelling in math and graduating at the top of his class in 2005.  


While at Chaminade-Madonna, he was a member of the soccer, track, and cross-country teams, was a L.I.F.E. leader, and actively participated in the campus ministry program and other activities and clubs, including Mu Alpha Theta.

Kristian was voted "Most Athletic" male in his Class of 2009 and graduated in the Top Five.  He received numerous awards at graduation, including Science, National Hispanic Scholar, and the Father Chaminade Award.


He attended the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, graduating in May 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering Degree, and commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps.  


Following graduation, he attended The Basic School for Marine Corps Officers in Quantico, VA, graduating in January 2014, and then began Naval Aviator Flight Training in Pensacola, FL.  


Kristian Dominguez earned his wings of gold in March 2016 and reported to his first squadron as an MV-22 Osprey pilot at Marine Corps Air Station New River in Jacksonville, NC.  During his time there, he deployed to the Caribbean in September 2017 to assist with Hurricanes Irma and Maria relief efforts.  


As well, he deployed from February to August 2018 aboard the USS Iwo Jima in support of national objectives in the Middle East.  Now a Captain, Kristian Dominguez is currently deployed in Norway as part of the Marine Rotational Force - Europe as an Air Officer in an infantry battalion.
