Mya Montalvo

Distinguished Faculty Award

Mrs. Montalvo was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She completed her undergraduate studies in Education and Chemistry at the University of Puerto Rico. She also has a Master of Arts in Science Teaching and is currently completing a Master of Science in Chemistry. Mrs. Montalvo has been teaching Chemistry since 2009 and joined the faculty of Chaminade-Madonna in 2019. Teaching is her passion and she looks forward to coming to school every day to help her students achieve their goals in a community environment filled with love, respect, and hospitality. At CMCP, she teaches Chemistry (including AP and Honors classes) and serves as the moderator for the Science Olympiad Club. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and son. Her family is her motivation to strive to be a better version of herself every day.
