During my time at CMCP I was an active member of the varsity volleyball team and the track and field team for three years but focused most of my time on track and field. I competed in the Shotput and Discus. I currently hold the High School record for both events. I am a two-time 2A state champion in the girls’ discus (2006 and 2007), and 2A state champion in the girls’ shotput (2007). I was honored in 2005 with the Girls Second Team All-Broward Track and Field, in the Discus. I was honored in 2006 & 2007 with the Girls’ First Team All-Broward Track and Field, in the Discus and was honored in 2007 Girls First Team All-Broward Track and Field, in the Shotput. I was honored in 2007 with the Girls’ First Team All-County Track and Field, in the Shotput and Discus.  I was featured in many news articles in 2006 & 2007 and was honored by the Miami Herald with a full article in 2007. I was honored to be Voted Most Athletic by the 2007 Senior Class.  I ended my High School Athletics with   Three Gold Medals, Two Silver Medals, and One Bronze Medal. My high school PR- 136’01 in the Discus and 41’11 in Shotput. Not only was I competing in High School but also competed  with AAU Track and Field 2005-2006 and had the opportunity to compete in the AAU Junior Olympic Track and Field 2005. I ended AAU with Two Gold Medals, Two Silver Medals, and Two Bronze Medals.

I accepted an NCAA full scholarship to Alabama State University and was a part of ASU Track and Field program (2007-2012). During my time at ASU, I managed to maintain and balance a student-athlete workload of schoolwork, classes, practice, traveling, and competing. I also competed in and was a part of the Women’s SWAC Indoor and Outdoor Championships Team. I held the SWAC Indoor Weight Throw record from 2010-2016. I was awarded Most Outstanding Field Performance SWAC Championship Indoor 2010 and SWAC Championship Outdoor 2010 & 2012. During my collegiate year I was Red Shirted in 2011 due to knee surgery. My Indoor collegiate PR was 12.96m in Shotput, 18.25m in Weight, and my Outdoor collegiate PR was 13.09m in Shotput, 49.12m in Hammer, 43.08 in Discus and 31.08m in Javelin. I ended my collegiate years with Three Indoor SWAC Championship and Three Outdoor SWAC Championship and Seven Gold Medals, Three Silver Medals, and Two Bronze Medals.  I graduated from Alabama State University in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy and in 2015 with a Master in Rehabilitation Counseling. 

I currently work with Veterans Affairs as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor helping disabled Veterans obtain employment in San Antonio, TX. I currently have a 5 year old daughter with another one due October 2023.
